Sadly overshadowed by many other Fords from both pre- and post-war periods, and moving budget motoring onto a more sophisticated footing than some of the toot foisted on the British motoring public, the poor little Model Y deserved far more recognition than it received – until Sam Roberts' book was published.

Like Thacker's '32 title, this looks at the reasons behind the car's creation, how its design evolved, the various body types and the more peculiar versions, including a tiny bus, a tipper and a three-wheeled 'tug' version. The vans are stunning, and Roberts' book is crammed full of illustrations and drawings, one of the best being the shot (on page 188) of a Ford dealer workshop in Southsea in 1948.

And like all cars, there were several key people behind their concept and eventual production, and the author looks at them. He also looks at the plants that assembled the Y around the globe.

In my opinion its the best book I've ever read about the ModelY.
It gives a complete view of the modelY history, with lots of photos and details.
Its a must!!!

This book of approximately 100 pages, together with an audio CD, is an excellent guide to heart and lung sounds. The book is very thorough and complete and at the same time small enough to fit into a (fairly large) pocket. It is written by three experts in the field of cardiac and respiratory auscultation. The book provides step-by-step instructions on how to identify, interpret and differentiate normal heart and lung sounds, abnormal heart and lung sounds, murmurs and arrhythmias. Complete with pre as well as post reading 'test', the book and CD will tell you how much of different heart and lung sounds you already knew before entering the 'course' and how much you have learned from reading the book and listening to the CD. The book is divided into four chapters as follows: Heart sounds, Murmurs, Arrhythmias, and Lung sounds. Each chapter begins with clearly stated objectives followed by a pre-test to evaluate your level of knowledge beforehand. After reading the text and listening to the CD there is an appropriate post-test to evaluate what you have learned. Bothe simulated sounds and natural sounds from clinical cases are presented on the CD. Simulated sounds allow the listener to focus on heart sounds without the distraction of breathing sounds and artifacts. Natural sounds of murmurs and abnormal respiration are included to represent the clinical situation. Graphic presentations of ECG's and phonocardiogram's accompany the heart sounds for clarity. This appears to be a very efficient way on conveying knowledge to the reader. Each chapter is also equipped with tables for a quick reference of differential diagnoses for different auscultatory phenomena, making the book very useful as a handbook to be used in day-to-day practice. In summary, this book and CD are excellent tools to help learn the difficult art of auscultation and is useful for the veterinary student as well as the experienced clinician. This is the second book in the Robots Go Wild! Series. Once again we meet up with Sammy and E. In t House of Robots E goes wild. Maddie is sick and cannot attend school. E goes in her place. There is a football game between 5 robots and a bunch of other robots. When a new robot shows up at school for a kid that has to stay home everything goes wrong for E, Sammy and the whole family. E is banned from school, Sammy’s mom may be out of a job, his dad’s novel may be canceled and Sammy must find a way to save the day.

I love this series and think this one is better than book 1. Juliana Neutfeld is a fantastic illustrator and Jack Patterson does a great job with the narration. I shared this book with my grandson and he loved it. He has listened to it three times now.

From my almost seven year-old, Joshua..... Great story

This story is about Sammy and his Robots. The main Robots name is "E", which stands for Egg-head. E goes berserk! Maddie suffers from bad germs and she has to stay at home. E is her substitute student. There is a robot football game at school and there's five robots verses a lot of robots. On the other team, one of the robots names was SS10K, and he helps them score 70 goals. When E arrives to play on his team his scores, about 50 goals, and his team wins.

The people who would like to read this book would be kids that want to be engineers. Joshua learnt not to make a robot that could go berserk - always check first!

The book by Paulie Zink is without question the finest book (mostly because it's one of only three, at least that I know of in the English language) that discusses in any great detail the history as well as characteristic techniques of the Tai Sheng Pek War style. Each of the 5 character trait monkeys are demonstrated, as are fundamental weapons and self-defense techniques. To truly apply the knowledge within the text, the first 3 videos in Master Zink's Panther Productions series are almost crucial. These videos cover Fundamentals, Classical Forms, and Weapons of the unorthodox but effective monkey style. The first video alone is worth whatever the asking price is, as it contains possibly the best and most comprehensive stretching routine ever captured on video - nearly an hour long! The second video actually demonstrates full forms and their combat applications, not just pieces as does the book. The third video shows in greater detail than the book the many weapons of the monkey system, the most interesting of which I find to be the monkey iron ring. Do yourself a favor - if you're serious about learning about this art - buy the book' if you want to PRACTICE this art - find and buy the videos - they're well worth it!

About the Author

Bob Donnelly is a professor at Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington Delaware with more than 25 years of teaching experience. He teaches classes in statistics, operations management, management information systems, and database management at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Bob earned an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware, after which he worked for several years as an engineer with the Diamond Shamrock Corporation in a chlorine plant. Despite success in this field, Bob felt drawn to purse a career in education. It was his desire to teach that took him back to school to earn his MBA and Ph.D. in Operations Research, also from the University of Delaware. Bob also teaches in the MBA program at the International School of Management in Paris, France. He thoroughly enjoys discussing research methods and business statistics with both his French and American students.

Bob’s working experience gather prior to his teaching career has provided him with many opportunities to incorporate real-life examples into classroom learning. His students appreciate his knowledge of the business world as well as his mastery of the course subject matter. This text is wonderful! A very difficult topic to describe, Interdisciplinarity makes sense, gives the student a solid footing on pertinent topics and is well worth a studious read.
