I bought this book to accompany 'Precalculus with Limits: A Graphing Approach - Ed. 3' (ISBN: 0618052917). I was looking for a book with solutions to all of the problems in the main textbook. This solutions guide ONLY has solutions to the ODD NUMBERED PROBLEMS from the main textbook.

The only benefit of buying this book is if you need explanations/step-by-step solutions - the main textbook already has the same solutions, just without the explanation (again, odd numbered problems only).

Helped my grade a lot!

I have the text book that goes a long with this solutions study guide. This book has the solution to the odd numbered problems in the book, as well as odd and even answers for the chapter tests. In the beginning of each section it tells you what you should know, important formulas, etc. It's very helpful to study with. Another great thing about the book is that not only does it give you the answer, but it gives you step by step how to get there. I definitely recommend this book for anyone who is taking Precalculus with this text book, whether you're struggling or not, it's affordable, and has really helped me understand things the teacher hasn't done a great job of.

Couldn't put it down!

I absolutely love it! It took me days after receiving it to realize that there was no ribbon marker, and that the sheets weren't silver edged (as was expected), but it is such a beautiful, elegant-feeling devotional bible that what was missing paled in comparison to all that was received in this beautiful package. In this case, the pros far outweigh the cons. The interior is very beautifully designed and I was pleased to find that reading is not hard on my eyes at all. The devotional readings are wonderful, manageable and thought-provoking. It was a real blessing to find a bible in my favorite color combination and in such a wonderful, easy-to-understand translation. Love love love it!!

I bought this Bible after previewing it at Barnes and Nobles as always my purchase's are so much cheaper with Amazon.
The NLT paraphrase is easy to understand and the extra additions of encouragements from various authors through out are lovely and thought provoking. I love the feel of the bible. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because it is a bit stiff because of the leather and material combo. I am hoping it will ease up with normal wear and tare.

I was totally amazed at the beauty of this bible. The print is teal and the lettering is big enough. It's definitely a woman's bible. But the clarity and even the layout is different. I would totally recommend purchasing this bible which I saw in my church's book store for $50. This book is truly remarkable.

I purchase a lot of self-motivation books, but this was a bit different, and I LOVED those differences... personal stories shared by author are heartwarming and I can relate to him even though we've lived very different lives. I didn't feel like he was telling me what success was, I felt empowered to define that for myself. The ending of the book made me sit down and start to really map out how I want to live my life... I'm motivated to make that choice to succeed and thanks to the author I've learned ways to start approaching my path to success.

Value, Value, Value! This is a must read book for all entrepreneurs and digital marketers. One of the most actionable books I have read in the growth hacking / digital marketing space. Its a fun read but packed with tones of practical advice and hacks.

Most of the other books in this space tend to focus on the theory or mindset. While important they lack practical and tactical advice. This is what makes Growth Hackers Guide to the Galaxy so good. It is incredibly useful.

I feel like this book is my Growth Hacking Consultant. I can flip to any page and BOOM there is actionable tactics that are easy to follow and implement.

The book also includes many case studies of successful startups and how they achieved their growth. These are really interesting and fun to read.

In terms of the content the book provides and the price, it is no doubt the best value in the marketing/entrepreneur space on amazon. You cannot go wrong purchasing this book.

Lots of Phony, Inflated Reviews On This Book!

This book is 42 pages long, but most of it is page filler and stories the author tells. Some information is helpful, but nothing new and nothing that common sense wouldn't tell you anyway. (Just be polite, don't rile the cop, don't let the cop cause you to lose your cool....etc., etc.) If you are someone that needs to be reminded of these kinds of things, then you might like this book. Also, if you are hoping that this book will keep a cop from giving you a ticket, you might get a very slight edge by acting reasonable, but don't hold your breath!

Don't be fooled! I notice a lot of reviews here that are ecstatic 5 stars posts, and appear to just happen to be all about the same couple of days...so these must be friends of the author or fan club members. This is not helpful to a fair evaluation. Frankly I think I'm being generous in giving the book 1 star as it is almost only a ZERO star book.

(It is important to note that more than half of the reviewers posting 4 and 5 star reviews have published only 1 review on Amazon. Yes you guessed it...a review of this book and no others. Wonder why they suddenly decided to review this book out of all the millions of books on Amazon? We know exactly why! These inflated reviews and this author should be banned from Amazon, and this should not ne allowed to continue.)

My suggestion is you check for the same material which is available on any major search engine for free, then decide if you think you want to buy the book.

Common sense

Mostly just common sense info in this book. No real tricks to be had( i.e. don't argue with police, don't escalate the situation, be polite....)

He is short and to the point and I highly recommend his book

I have read most of Mr. Luna's books over the years. His writing style is straightforward and he researches subject topics very through. I told the advice he provided on handling the police will definitely help me with my anxiety if I were to be pulled over. Getting pulled over can be hazardous to your life if you don't follow his advice. He is short and to the point and I highly recommend his book!

Awesome book!

I received Step 7 programming made easy a couple of weeks ago.
I’ve gone through the book and it is fantastic. I recently changed careers from an EE designing HW and SW/FW to a controls project engineer at a system integrator. I knew nothing about controls engineering and programming, was hired on my word that I could pull it off, and needed some guidance on my first project, which is a Siemens project. Thanks to this book, I’m well on my way.
This first project of mine has both S7-400 and S7-300 processors/cards.

About the Author
Arthur Koestler (1905-1983) was an extraordinary polymath, writer and political polemicist. His most famous works include the novels Darkness at Noon and Arrival and Departure, his autobiographical writings, including Spanish Testament and Scum of the Earth, and his visionary non-fiction, including The Ghost in the Machine, The Case of the Midwife Toad and The Sleepwalkers. John Gray has been Professor of Politics at Oxford University, Visiting Professor at Harvard and Yale and Professor of European Thought at the London School of Economics. He now writes full time. His books include False Dawn: The Delusions of Global Capitalism, Straw Dogs: Thoughts on Humans and Other Animals, The Immortalization Commission: The Strange Quest to Cheat Death and, most recently, a sequel to Straw Dogs, The Silence of Animals: On Progress and Other Modern Myths. His selected writings, Gray's Anatomy, was published in 2009.

This is an extraordinary and valuable introduction to the history of astronomy and cosmology. I used in a class I taught many years ago for a period of several years and recommended very strongly

Koestler was the well-known novelist ("Darkness at Noon" and many other works), who, in his later years turned to writing about the history of science.

His bookThe Watershed enjoyed a great deal of critical acclaim at the time. Some years later, Koestler decided to wrap around that book with a very extensive treatment of the history of astronomy and cosmology, the present volume.

I so admire this time of Koestler's because of its treatment of Galileo. Gone are the simplistic treatments of Galileo's conflict with the church. For example, Galileo was not tortured, but "to be shown the instruments of torture." In the context of times. This is no small distinction.Furthermore Koestler makes clear that there were many within the church who were prepared to accept Galileo's ideas, provided that he advance them as an hypothesis rather than as absolute fact. Not to put too fine a point on it, there are several deficiencies to Galileo's theory. For example, in particular, only one tide a day

Finally Koestler makes it clear that a Galileo did some of his best work in retirement. a.k.a. under house arrest.

This is an absolutely enthralling book, which I used in class for many years and heavily annotated. I purchased this volume to give to a friend

Fascinating reading

Arthur Koestler's book on the rise of modern western science is certainly controversial, for instance, his appreciation of Copernicus' work is not what we naively would expect. But the book is very good and has fascinating parts, as the one in which Koestler puts the blame on Plato for the human obsession with circles and spheres that delayed for centuries the emergence of the correct view of the Solar System. The shrewd analysis of Copernicus' and Kepler's as men assures the reader that science is after all a very human endeavor. And there is much more. I enjoyed it and recommend it.
