About the Author
Richard Jacobs biggest passion is writing fiction, historical fiction, memoirs, short stories, and screenplays. Author of multiple books, he researches all of his novels in depth and makes a point of travelling to the location of each one, which he feels adds greatly to their authenticity. Richard has enjoyed many jaunts on his motorcycle, including a ride from Mexico to Canada via the Continental Divide Trail at the top of the Rocky Mountain Range. After serving as an officer in the U.S. Special Forces, he lived in the Alaska bush for a time. Good looking and a free thinker, Richard has been all over the world and currently frequents the warmth of Mexico. When he isn t traveling, Richard enjoys his home in Dallas, where he lives with his wife Kathy and their Siberian husky, Sitka.

The adventures of these boys in a great time in history kept me glued to this book, no dinners made or dishes done. After first 3 pages were read I was hooked. I read a lot of books and think this author knows how to write with adventure and action that captivates your imagination. A fan and fellow adventurer. Read his book.

Two lectures given by Dr. Maria Montessori during 1915, and transcribed. The first one is The Mother and the Child, and I was disappointed that its focus seemed to dismiss the efforts that some mythical mothers bygone made in their misguided efforts to raise healthy children according to the beliefs at the time. I was hoping it would offer some guidance to mothers, but is mostly dismissive. The second lecture had some interesting tidbits, but was again, a speech decrying the socially acceptable child neglect that she was a passionate advocate against. I wish I hadn't bothered with this slim volume reprinted from UC Berkley's collection, but at least now I know.

Another great story!

Another great book! What I love about this author is that she makes such likable characters and there is never a moment when I dislike them.

Memphis is funny, sweet, and sassy. Growing up the daughter of biker, she speaks her mind and is no ones doormat.

Downy was a great hero but suprising because I never pictured him the way he was in the book. He was alpha all the way.

Memphis and Downy meet when there is a holdup at her job. Downy is part of the SWAT team and is the one to protect her during the holdup. Memphis is greatful to the guy who saved her life but never saw his face.
As a result of the holdup, Memphis loses her job and has to move to a cheaper apartment. Where her unknown neighbor likes to keep her up all night "entertaining" his guests (if you know what I mean). One night she goes outside to let her dog pee and meets a good looking guy. A guy who she tells all about her loud neighbor and when they are returning to their apartments, you can imagine her surprise when that guy goes into the next door apartment! How she handles seeing him after that is freaking hilarious. But she figures that her neighbor, Downy, is now going to be more considerate about the noise. That isn't the case when once again she can't sleep because of the noises next door. This time though she was going to confront the neighbor about it because she has had enough. The following confrontation had me laughing.

After that, Downy and Memphis are aware of how attracted they are to one another but Downy is reluctant to take it further because of the major age difference. The attraction is overwhelming though and they soon give in to it. And boy was it steamy because Downy likes his control in the bedroom. But when they enter into a relationship, there are problems. Downy is older and set in his ways. It is hard for him to change and Memphis struggles with that. Yet, both are unwilling to give up because both are developing deeper feelings for each other.

This was a great story. It was funny hot, sweet and had that element of danger to keep you reading. I loved the couple and was glad to see them have their HEA.

Looking forward to the next book!

I love love love all of mrs vale's books. They just keep getting better and better. I like how all the stories loop together, how we get to "check in" on the other characters that we loved in the other books. Mrs vale is my new favorite author. You keep writing and I'll keep reading!!

Yippy! I found another great author! I am so happy with this series and this author's writing style that I have already pre-ordered the next two. The background plot is an awesome twist, the main plot of each story is so diverse that the characters are really allowed to shine. Holy hotness, are these men hot! I love the sass and relationship development of the females as they struggle to get used to these alpha men and the danger they put themselves in. As a sister to a former beat cop, a detective, and now warrant officer, I so appreciate the spotlight being shined on the heroes of our country. I am one of those dialysis patients, Mrs. Vale and the struggle that brought you to your writing is appreciated very much. I applaud the courage in your "follow through", because your stories are so worth it. Blessings every day to you and yours.
